It's sad that our current events no longer come to us as a shocker. How is it that we expect the worst from our so said safety patrol? The constant worry of who will be next? The constant fear of it being one of our own. How do we support these families who are experiencing sudden loss? No one can ever and SHOULD NEVER have to prepare themselves for such an event.
This is part of living in an unholy world. A world where the code of law, has no interest in protecting the people.
Famous philosopher Sam Harris raises the thought :
Changing how you respond to the world is often just as good as changing the world.
Unfortunately, there is no easy road to justice. But we ought to continue to raise questions and judge the acts of the evildoers. We have to continue to stand strong for the good so all else stands clear of their character.
I can't help but raise the questions: Whatever happened to love thy neighbor as thyself? Whatever happened to fearing the Lord?
Proverbs warn us of all the cruelty in the world:
"The wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers, but the root of the righteous endures. Evildoers are trapped by their sinful talk, and so the innocent escape trouble. From the fruit of their lips, people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings the reward. The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice"
